Summary
Scarlet dress coat. Scarlet wool plain weave, raised nap. a) Lapels, cream silk unbalanced plain weave ridge; b) five gilt buttons 20 mm diam and 4 at 15 mm diam, with the initials 'S.H'. As Trimming a) with padded areas. Hand and machine sewn, two breast and two tail pockets, coat hanger, cut away front to tails. Made for 8th Lord Berwick by Lesley & Roberts of Hanover Square, London, circa 1906, to be worn at Hunt Balls. S.H. initials on buttons denote 'Shropshire Hunt'.
