Summary
Eleven items of window curtain furnishings of green Moreen, consisting of one curtain, two tie backs, four pelmet/valances and four fragments of fabric. Worsted plain weave with moire finish, dyed emerald green. Loom width 560 mm (22'). Braid. Blue to turquoise with yellow brocading, flower and leaf repeat 100 mm; 37 mm (originally turquoise). Green cotton plain weave glazed. (Just at heading). Heading straight with brass rings. Bordered on two sides and bottom edge. Pieced together, made up from several curtains (?). Machine sewn. 19th century English manufacture.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
