Summary
Dark blue silk velvet tail, part of swag. One of a set of nine items of window curtain furnishings. Dark blue silk velvet. Loom width 465 mm a) gold silk braid with scalloped edge 14 mm; b) gold silk braid with scalloped edge 40 mm a) interlining, undyed linen plain weave; b) black worsted plain weave. Hand sewn, two widths bordered with a) and b) braids on two sides and bottom, right at top only b) (cut threads on two sides and bottom edge where fringe has been removed). Lined and interlined throughout. Original pinch pleated at top. Circa 1811.
