Summary
One of a set of eight crimson silk damask tight covers to an armchair, woven with full floral baroque design. Including backrest (and reverse), two arm pads and seat cover. The original silk damask for this chair dated from circa 1830, but the chair was recovered by Lady Berwick (1931/2).
Provenance
Recovered by Lady Berwick (1890 - 1972). Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
