Summary
One of two pink/gold pique brocade covers to doors. Pink/brown silk warp, yellow/gold silk and brown cotton wefts and brown cotton warp ties. Warp and weft brocade pique. Design; diamond trellis. a) gold silk and undyed cotton brocaded braid 40 mm; b) gold silk and undyed cotton brocaded braid 13 mm a) crimson wool plain weave raised nap; b) cream cotton plain weave. Bordered with trim a) and b) on four sides; fabric and lining b) sewn to lining a) which was probably the original covers to the doors. English manufacture circa 1930.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
