Summary
Portiere curtain of pink/gold brocade. Pink/brown silk warp, yellow/gold silk and brown cotton wefts and brown cotton warp ties. Warp and weft brocade pique. Design; diamond trellis. a) gold silk brocaded braid 40 mm; b) gold silk brocaded braid 15 mm Cream cotton plain weave. Lined throughout. Hand sewn. Heading. Band of fabric and trim a) gathered to main drop with wire and eye threaded through for hanging. Trim a) borders 2 sides of each section and at bottom, trim b) runs horizontal towards top. Curtain in 2 section from below heading. English manufacture circa 1930.
