Summary
Brocade fragment. Blue and ivory silk, plant forms and lace grounds Two selvages; cut two ends; tack marks. Woven brocade; blue and ivory silk warps; ivory silk wefts; warp faced satin jasped ground; plain weave double cloth and weft twill weave motifs. Loom width 650 mm (25.5 in); selvage, plain weave with gold/orange silk warp. Repeat not complete; plant forms and lace grounds entwined. Made in England or France circa 1900.
