Woven damask a) and b), embroidered bands c) d) and e) Brocaded braid a) Black satin edging b) Leno/plain weave cotton self striped Hand sewn; centre field; panel mounted on damask edged and bordered and two outer borders. Woven/embroidered. a) grey/ivory cotton leno weave and plain weave damask. b) grey/ivory cotton leno weave and plain weave damask. c) and d) black silk satin. Blue silk thread satin stitch. e) black silk satin,blue silk thread satin stitch. a) geometric lines and flowers. b) similar to a). c) and d) floral, 20 mm bands. e) similar to c) and d), 12 mm band. a) beige cotton brocaded in blue silk. Braid 14 mm. b) black silk satin weave edging. Undyed cotton, leno and plain weave self stripes. Embroidered in China circa 1900 by a professional embroiderer.
