Summary
Embroidered canvas cushion cover. Full colour range of embroidery silks; straight stitch 3-D geometric boxes Green cotton Hand sewn on three sides; open one end. Embroidered canvas; undyed linen single canvas; embroidery threads;silk dyed blue;turquoise;red;beige; gold; yellow;pale and dark green; pink; grey; lime green; acid yellow; brown; beige worked in straight stitch diagonally over 2 threads. 3-D geometic boxes. Green cotton unbalanced plain weave ridge. Possibly hand embroidered by 8th Lady Berwick.
Provenance
Possibly made by Lady Berwick (1890-1972). Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
