Summary
One of two grey mats, 'Jasped' stripe. Blue/grey braid. Hand sewn. Bordered on four sides. Woven, several shades of grey to mauve silk warps; grey (?) weft; 'jasped' vertical stripe. Loom width(?) 'Jasped' stripe. Blue/grey cotton silk braid. 13 mm. Early 20th century English manufacture.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
