Summary
Four heraldic painted pennants. Black silk, painted with oil based pigments and metallic silver and gold, shield surmounted by coronet within border. Berwick coat of arms Cut on four sides, pin or tack marks at corners. Black silk plain weave, painted with oil based pigments of red; cream; black and grey. Brown and silver and gold metallic. Shield surmounted by coronet (four balls). Bird, sable grounds, castle, lion rampant within border/plain. Berwick coat of arms. Possibly 19th century, English manufacture.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
