Summary
One of four striped covers to open armchairs. Part of a set of 18 items of striped cotton fabric. Cotton warp and weft plain weave printed pink and red. Originally glazed. Design; vertical .9 stripe. Originally red, wool three strand cable cord. Undyed cotton plain weave 'calico'. Hand sewn; lined throughout; trimmed round back. Arms and at bottom hem. English manufacture circa 1920.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
