Summary
White marble sculpture relief, Ganymede held by Zeus in the form of an Eagle. The naked figure of Ganymede, held in the claws of an eagle in flight. Body twisted to the left, head to the right close to the eagle's beak. Clouds along base. 19th century, possibly made in Europe.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
