Summary
Silver taperstick or wax-jack on a circular dish with ring handle and oval thumbpiece, baluster stem and detachable nozzle. Extinguisher fitted with chain and decorated with reeded borders. Engraved with the Berwick crest on the dish. Maker's mark for John Eames, London, 1805.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
