Summary
Detachable strainer for a circular silver wine funnel; the funnel being repoussé and chased at a later date with rococo scrolls and vines, reeded border to rim. Maker's mark on funnel for Thomas Johnson, London, 1809.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
