Summary
Silver-gilt egg boiler in the form of an urn with two hinged doors with ball finials and a pair of entwined snake handles. Raised on four reeded legs with acanthus leaf cappings and terminating with hairy claw feet, joined by an undertier for a spirit lamp or burner. Accompanied by a silver-gilt egg stand fitted with glass egg timer and frame for four eggs. Maker's mark for John Edwards, London, 1802.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
