Summary
Flat circular lid for a barrel shaped container made of tightly woven grasses (?), circa 1900. A printed Red Cross label stitched to the lid reads: I FERITI PRO MUTILATI Sold. Regg. Osp. Handwritten inscription reads: Venduto Mrs. Hulton Pozzi Salvadore 202 Fauteria C.R. No.9 Firenze.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
