Summary
A pair of square tole vases tapering to the base. Painted with dark red lacquer and gilt classical frieze of fruit-laden cornucopiae and scroll motif below. Raised on four ormolu winged paw feet on black lacquered square base. Black liner with hinged handles. French manufacture circa 1810.

Believed to be 3rd Lord Berwick collection: William Noel-Hill, 3rd Baron Berwick (1773-1842). Bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890-1972).
