Summary
19th century glass decanter-shaped wasp and bee trap with a narrow neck and bulbous body, standing on three feet allowing access to the hole in the base. The trap would be filled with sweet liquid to attract wasps to enter via the raised hole in the base from which they would be unable to escape. A cork (now missing) would secure the jar at the top.
