Summary
A painted pine sink unit with a draining board. The sink unit is late 20th century and was made in England by Kevin Jones for the restored kitchen at Attingham Park in 1997/8. The sink unit has a natural pine top with a draining board above a buff-painted base fitted with a pair of shelves and with slightly tapering square-section legs. A kitchen sink and water supply would be useful for the kitchen maids to rinse cloths, collect water etc.The sink would not be used for general washing up and for food preparation. Separate sinks for specific jobs like these would be situated in the scullery.
