Summary
One of a pair of small papier maché globes made by Dudley Adams of Fleet Street, London, circa 1810. A small celestial globe with signs of the zodiac, mythological characters and sea creatures, highlighted in coloured washes and shellac varnish. Mounted in a brass frame and supported on a mahogany stand with four tapering column legs on ball feet and linked by an X-stretcher.

Norris collection. Given to the National Trust through the Norris bequest November 1991.
