Summary
A yew-wood and elm draught-back Windsor chair, English, probably Buckinghamshire, mid-19th century, one of a pair. With a line-inscribed hoop toprail above a shaped, pierced and 'draught'-carved splat between two sets of three turned spindles. The saddle seat of elm with a wedge to the rear. All four legs baluster- and ring-turned, joined by an 'H'-shaped stretcher.
