Summary
A yewwood, elm and ash Windsor chair, Buckinghamshire, probably High Wycombe, mid-19th century, one of a pair. Having a hooped toprail above a shaped, pierced and 'draught'-centred splat, flanked to either side by three plain spindles. The seat of elm and dished. Raised on four ring and baluster-turned legs joined by an 'H'-shaped stretcher.
