Summary
A burr walnut, walnut and tulipwood tilt-top centre or breakfast table, English, mid-19th century. The oval top quarter-veneered in bur walnut and with tulipwood string to its moulded edge. Tilting on a pedestal with a columnar shaft raised on four moulded and outswept legs terminating in scroll feet with white ceramic castors. The top with brass catch.
Provenance
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890 - 1972). Transferred by the Treasury in 1976.
