Print, lithograph, O bitterness of things too sweet ! - Jane Burden, Mrs William Morris (1839-1914) after Dante Gabriel Rossetti (London 1828 - Birchington 1882) Print of an original charcoal drawing of the half length portrait of Jane Morris, possibly by Rossetti, entitled: 'O bitterness of things too sweet!' Facing to front with head tilted to left. Wearing sketchly drawn drapery around shoulders which she clasps in her hands to the front. Mounted in a dirty and torn cream card mount.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
