Summary
Silhouette, Lt-Gen. Sir Thomas Myddelton-Biddulph, KCB (1809 - 1878) aged 11, by John Miers (Leeds 1758 – London 1821). Head and shoulder silhouette, aged eleven, in profile to the left. With short hair and wearing a high collared coat and necktie. By John Miers, 1820. Details picked out with gilt. Glazed in rectangular ebonised frame with inner gilt border.
Provenance
Probably 2nd Lord Berwick collection. By descent Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
