Summary
Coloured chalks on paper, Lady Mary Herbert, Marchioness of Ailesbury and Countess of Cardigan (1813-1892) by John Hayter (London 1800 – 1891). Head and shoulder portrait of Lady Mary Herbert, turned slightly to left and wearing a rose over her left ear. Glazed in varnished wood frame, two ebony line borders. Formerly ATT/P/036. Number '36' on frame.
