Summary
Coloured chalks with white heightening on brown paper, The Reverend Richard Noel-Hill, 4th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1774-1848) by John Hayter (London 1800 – 1891), 1844. Head and shoulder portrait of the Reverend Richard Noel Hill, the 4th Lord Berwick. The third son to succeed to the title, becoming 4th Lord Berwick in 1842. Rector of Berrington and Sutton, both villages on the Attingham Estate. Turned to the left. Glazed in cream card mount and plain giltwood frame.

4th Lord Berwick collection. Rev. Richard Noel-Hill (1774-1848), 4th Baron Berwick. By descent Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
