Summary
One of a set of ten circular finger bowls. Part of a much larger set made by Baccarat of Paris, commissioned for Tatton Park in 1911 by Alan de Tatton Egerton, 3rd Baron Egerton of Tatton. The finger bowl has plain sides engraved with floral swags tied with ribbons, E of T monogram, highlighted in gilt. Stylised flowerhead design moulded on base. Gilt line borders to rim and base.
Provenance
Egerton Collection: commissioned by Alan de Tatton Egerton, 3rd Baron Egerton (1845-1920). By descent to the National Trust by bequest from Maurice, 4th Baron Egerton of Tatton (1874-1958) with the house, gardens and contents of Tatton Park.
