Summary
19th century large rectangular ironstone china meat dish with canted corners and moulded outer rim. Plain cream glaze. Impressed stamp on base around a central anchor reads: 'DAVENPORT IRONSTONE CHINA 2'. Manufactured by Davenport & Co., Longport, Staffordshire.
Provenance
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
