Summary
A baby's christening cape made from cream cashmere twill. The cape is constructed with a collar, a short over-cape and a long under-cape, all decorated with cream chain stitch embroidery worked in silk thread in a stylised floral motif with applique cream silk satin insertion. The over-cape is also trimmed with four cream silk tassels, intact. It is fully lined in cream cotton twill, with the over-cape edges lined with cream silk satin, and fastens centre front with six cream silk satin ties, one missing.
