Summary
A woman's robe, made from silk brocade comprised of a striped red ground with cream roses. 18th C style robe with fitted, boned bodice with squared neckline and elbow length sleeves. Cuffs trimmed with cotton lace. Trained open fronted skirt faced with ivory silk satin. Internal waistband of cotton tape fastens with metal hooks & eyes (hooks missing). Nine boning strips in cream silk casings. Front fastening with metal hooks and eyes. Neckline faced with cream silk ribbon. Bodice lined with cream cotton.
