Summary
A woman's day dress, made from rust coloured silk panné velvet. Rust coloured crushed silk panné velvet dress with high stand collar, slight train and long fitted sleeves trimmed with silk lace cuffs faced with silk ribbon. Mock front underdress panel in gauged rust silk brocade with double flounce at hem. It fastens with metal hooks and stitched eyelets. Under bodice of pink cotton twill with ten buttons at centre front for fastening, intact. A manufacturer's label attached to the inner neckline reads, 'Ladies & Juvenile Department, S Hannington & Sons, Brighton".
