Summary
A woman's pelisse made from brown and gold figured silk. The brown/gold silk ground is decorated with a flowerhead motif, with full-length sleeves and a puffed sleeve-head decorated with strapwork and gold fringing, with further applique brown silk velvet, silk cord and piping decoration on the cuff in a stylised leaf pattern. The pelisse has a double-layered collar, decorated with a gold fringed edge. The upper bodice and front facings are decorated in the same style as the cuff, with applique velvet, silk cord and piping in a stylised leaf pattern. Internally, the pelisse is fully lined in pale brown silk and fastens with five hooks and eyes centre front, intact, and with a slim padded hem. To go with matching belt 604869.2.
