Summary
A woman's bodice, part of an ensemble, made from fine black ribbed wool/silk mix with long sleeves, front opening and high neck. Bodice front is decorated with pleated silk trimmed with black silk lace. Upper sleeves are full and gathered at elbow with self-frill. Edged with silk satin frill. Lower sleeve is fitted and has silk satin at cuff. Bodice lined with self-striped cotton sateen of cream and beige which is printed on reverse with black. It has been turned back side out to line the collar, proper right opening and waist. Bodice is boned and has two rows of metal hooks and eyes.
