Summary
An officer's mess waistcoat in navy blue wool facecloth lined with cream cotton twill. The waistcoat is simply decorated with a single line of gold-coloured Russian braid around the outer edge (now tarnished) and has concealed hook and eye fastenings centre front. Handwritten inside the collar of the waistcoat is "Conyngham". See associated photograph for further details.
