Summary
A man's tunic for the Royal Artillery in blue wool facecloth with contrasting red wool piping around the tunic facings and lower hem and lined in beige quilted silk twill. The tunic has a stand-up collar which is decorated in gold coloured braid/cord and cuffs also extensively decorated in gold-coloured Russian braid. There are nine fastening buttons centre front which bear the insignia for the Royal Artillery, with a further two on the tunic tails and the epaulettes. The epaulettes are twisted gold cord, Officer Rank, and have three shoulder pips. Inside the jacket handwritten in ink is the name "Mrs H Boyd. See associated photograph for furher details.
