Summary
A child's apron, part of a folk costume from Austria, made from white cotton calico. The apron, which has integral calico waist ties, is decorated on the yoked waistline with gold-coloured metal thread embroidery in a spiral pattern. The lower third of the apron is decorated with additional metal thread embroidery and a combination of cotton thread embroidery in red and green in a mixed pattern of spirals, waves, feather stitch and spots, with three additional lines of silk satin ribbon in yellow, red and blue and a line of pin tucking, intact.
