Originally a corset cover for a woman dating from around 1880-1920, the "blouse" is decorated on the bib with whitework embroidery in a floral pattern and with a stitched scalloped edge on the capped sleeves and neckline, otherwise undecorated. It is unlined and fastens with six mother-of--pearl buttons centre front, intact. There is ribbon insertion around the waistline, ribbon missing.
