Summary
A woman's cape made from black silk satin. The cape is self-trimmed with three gathered ruffles and trimmed with a gimp braid at lower edges. Wide band of Yak wool lace around lower edge. The proper right CF edge is trimmed with a gathered black satin band. Two long silk satin lappets hang down from the CF front corners, trimmed with machine-embroidered net. Fastens CF with eight metal hooks and eyes and is lined with the black silk twill with one twill cotton hanging tape. Has an open weave interlining – fibre unknown.
