Summary
A man's uniform tailcoat, part of a High Sheriff ensemble, made from red wool facecloth. The coat has a stand collar which is decorated with gold thread embroidery in a pattern of leaves with applique gold acorn trim, with matching decoration on the cuffs. It has twenty crested buttons centre front for fastening, with matching button trim on the vent centre back. The coat is fully lined in cream wool, with the torso quilted.
