Summary
A man's uniform tunic, part of a Deputy Lord Lieutenant's ensemble, made from red wool facecloth. The single-breasted tunic has a stand collar decorated with gold braid, with matching trim on the cuffs. It has eight crested buttons centre front for fastening, with matching buttons on the cuffs and back vent. It is fully lined in a combination of quilted cream silk satin and cream wool. A maker's label attached to an inner seam reads, "1924. J B Johnstone Ltd. Dublin & London. Capt. J.C. Herdman".
