Summary
A man's bicorne hat, part of a Deputy Lord Lieutenant's ensemble, made from beaver. The hat has a trim of black velvet and gold braid trim with crested button on the outer face, with a mount for a cockade on the outer crown. It has a leather brim and is fully lined in maroon silk satin. A maker's stamp inside the crown reads, "H. Poole & Co. Saville Row. London".
