Summary
A woman's apron for a nurse, made from white linen. The bibbed apron is undecorated, with two neck ties and three fabric-covered buttons and cotton tape ties on the waist for fastening, intact. A handwritten marking in black ink on the waistband reads, "J.A.Kingston". This probably relates to a previous owner/user of the apron, as these items were often passed down to other nursing colleagues.
Provenance
Gift of Mrs Doreen Brown.
Marks and inscriptions
Inner waistband seam, centre back left.: A handwritten marking in black ink on the waistband reads, "J.A.Kingston". See associated photograph for further details.
