Summary
A pair of men's climbing breeches for Army use, made from olive green ribbed gaberdine wool (cavalry twill). The full-length breeches have a buckled ankle cuff, with four green plastic braces buttons around the waist and six matching buttons centre front for fastening. The pocket linings and the inner waistband are made from khaki cotton twill. A maker's label attached to an inner seam reads, "Breeches. Climbing. Steinberg and Sons Ltd., 1944".
