Summary
A baby's overdress made from white cotton lawn. The sleeveless overdress is decorated on the bib with Ayrshire-style whitework embroidery in a floral pattern, with a scalloped embroidered armhole. The skirt front is ornately embroidered with a matching panel of Ayrshire-style embroidery in a design of lyre, flowers and leaves, with a matching vertical flounce with a scalloped edge. The hem is also scalloped and embroidered both front and back. The overdress is unlined and fastens centre back with two cotton ties, intact.
