Summary
A woman's pagoda-shaped parasol made from silk and bamboo. The canopy is made from turquoise silk taffeta, an early example of an aniline dye, woven with a design of black and white stripes around the ferrule and border and fully lined in cream silk. It has a bamboo ferrule, shaft and handle, with metal ribs and brass fittings.
