Summary
A woman's parasol made from silk, wood and bone. The canopy is made from a central band of floral chine silk in tones of brown, pink, green and cream, bordered by a woven cream and gold silk ribbon and a plain pale brown ribbon, with a brown silk fringe around the ferrule and border. It has a wooden shaft and carved wooden handle, with wooden ribs and brass fittings. The ferrule and spoke covers are made from carved bone.
