Summary
A woman's mantilla made from black silk thread on a black silk net ground. There is a gathering string across the top onto which the lace edging has been sewn and which creates a tie centre front. Decoratively, the mantilla has a deep scalloped edge and is embroidered with a stylised flower and leaf pattern.
