Summary
A woman's fan, made from black silk gauze, silk lace and wood. The fan is decorated across the gauze leaf with small round silver sequins, with black silk lace trim on the top and bottom of the fan leaf. The guards, sticks and ribs are made from black japanned wood, carved in a floral pattern and highlighted with silver gilding, The fan is unbacked and is secured at the base with a metal pivot and handle, intact.
